Our client, a leading UK Property Adviser, currently requires a property consultant with a broad general practice surveying background in Reading to provide additional property consultancy advice to both corporate and public sector clients on a range of projects within the field of General Practice Surveying.
Services currently provided by the team include acquisition and sale of freehold / leasehold properties, development appraisals and advice, occupancy cost advice, analysis and benchmarking
(rent / rates / insurance / FM contracts etc), formulating exit strategies for disposal of properties to achieve best value (maximum sale proceeds / minimum costs) including dilapidations advice, identification of options / costs and values, negotiation and timescales / risk management.
On a strategic project management front services they manage the entire consultancy team and overview of the project / projects (different from the traditional PM role); act as the sole key client liaison alongside the principal client in delivering their property needs to support the development of the business moving forwards; asset enhancement; cost management and control.
You will have experience of delivery in a broad range of strategic property consultancy services including the acquisition and disposal of assets, landlord and tenant, dilapidation, facilities management, exit strategies, options appraisal and strategic project management and have an ability to understand and apply financial management principles, experience in negotiations / dispute resolution.
You will liaise with clients and colleagues in different service lines on a project basis, contribute to the preparation and delivery of fee proposals, prepare management reports and as a senior member of the team you will generate opportunities for new business and development.
Given the wide range of general practice surveying disciplines covered in this generic role and on the basis our client is not a general practice surveyor self motivation, a proven track record of project delivery and an ability to deliver value added solutions are essential.
With a strong property related degree you will be MRICS with several years surveying experience within a consulting environment. Exposure to facilities management, dispute resolution and negotiations would be beneficial.
