PFI / Technical Due Diligence Consultant
Our client, one of the world’s leading Construction Management consultants, currently requires PFI Technical Due Diligence Consultants in each of its London, Bristol and Edinburgh offices to work on behalf of blue chip clients such as Bank of Scotland, Barclays Bank and Allied Irish Bank on projects such including Newcastle BSF, St Andrews Hospital and Salford Schools PFI.
You will liaise with project companies, funders and investors as part of an iterative process leading to the identification and elimination or management of risks to the funders' interests with progression towards leading a TDD commission whilst acting as point of contact with the project funder and bidding consortia and respective professional advisors.
The role includes meetings with funders, lawyers, contractors and other consortium members in order to appraise the project particulars in respect of technical risk to the funders / investors.
Additionally you will be required to deliver project-monitoring services to the funders during the construction phase including monthly reporting and certification duties.
Ideally you will have a strong construction related degree and be working towards a relevant professional qualification, typically MRICS, MCOIB or MAPM.
This role would suit an individual with an intermediate level background in commercial management / quantity surveying who would like to gain experience in PFI Consultancy. The role will cover technical due diligence in support of project funding and project monitoring during the construction and operational phases of PFI and other projects.
You will have an ability to work to tight deadlines, be commercially aware and financially astute with an ability to identify the key issues and set suitable benchmarks.
A broad understanding and knowledge of PFI / PPP would be advantageous but not essential as is previous experience of technical due diligence and project monitoring.
