Our client, one of the world’s leading Construction Management consultants, currently requires a delay analyst o provide impartial delay analysis advice in connection with construction disputes and to provide investigative, analytical, report-writing and other assistance to the Partner who will generally be acting as the delay analyst Expert Witness in connection with construction and engineering disputes.

Your duties will include analysis of contractors claims for extensions of time and provision of sound advice as to the most likely outcome of the dispute in terms of delay; forensic analysis of contractors’ claims to the highest standards in order to determine an accurate ascertainment of a contractor’s entitlement to additional time claimed in disputes and where required, the preparation of sound, well written and robust expert witness reports in respect of delay issues related to construction and engineering disputes. These reports are to be based upon a comprehensive forensic analysis of the underlying data submitted in connection with the claim, and will generally involve electronic modeling of contractors’ programmes using Primavera P3 and other software.

You will also need to be able to act as the expert witness on certain projects and, if necessary, give evidence in court and interface with members of other disciplines including solicitors and barristers.

Ideally with 5 years chartered status in a cost management or engineering discipline you will have experience in planning and programming using commonly available software packages and preferably 3 years experience in dispute resolution.
