Senior Building Surveyor

Our client, a leading global property investment company, requires a Chartered Building Surveyor to provide a comprehensive building surveying service for the operation and management of their commercial property portfolio. This will involve providing a high level of service to clients and internal management teams and liaising with external consultants, suppliers and contractors.

The role will involve provision of a surveying and design service from inception to completion including liaison with consultants and clients, preparation of tenders, reviewing capital and revenue expenditure with internal teams and estimation of project values.

You will liaise with the development project management teams and their appointed external consultants to ensure smooth handover of projects into the managed portfolio; appoint and liaise with consultants in respect of party wall, rights of light etc; carry out feasibility and condition surveys; be responsible for the day to day maintenance and instruct contractors as necessary; provide full technical support to the internal department and liaise with the service charge team, inputting and amending capital and revenue forecasts and monitoring and reporting on subsequent expenditure.

You will have a strong building / construction related degree, be chartered, ideally MRICS, and have several years’ solid post qualification experience, be CAD literate with strong commercial awareness.
