Regional Director - Cost Management at £55000 plus

Our client, an international multi-discipline consultant providing engineering, environmental, planning and management services to a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors currently requires a regional director cost manager in Birmingham.

As an experienced quantity surveyor you will act as project leader, attend project reviews and be the key interface with the client, project stakeholders and other team leaders.

Technically as an experienced quantity surveyor you will be expected to provide ‘high level’ quantity surveyor / employer’s agent services and act as project leader for an extremely wide variety of (predominantly) private sector projects, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships directing and delivering multiple projects, taking responsibility for the solutions while ensuring financial success.

You will also be required to help with business development, producing and reviewing financial and technical submissions/proposals and attending interviews while developing and maintaining key client relationships under all circumstances and maximizing opportunities for repeat business.

As the regional director you will be responsible for management of the team and programming of work, communicating the team direction and performance to the main director. You will carry out strategic assessment and rebalance of the teams strengths and needs over the long term in order to deliver the succession plan with responsibility for the longevity of the group while mentoring and developing technical staff.

An experienced cost manager you will be qualified to degree level with chartered membership status of a relevant professional body (preferably MIRCS) and be a strong and dynamic individual who is actively seeking to take on the opportunities and responsibilities at regional director level and beyond, with a solid ‘team work’ ethic.

A professional office background with extensive experience of providing employer’s agent and quantity surveyor services on a variety of large scale construction / development projects would be preferred but suitably qualified candidates from other backgrounds would be considered.
